The competitors will be advised by star mentor Nicole Scherzinger (The Pussycat Dolls), along with guest judges Kelly Rowland (Destiny’s Child) and the late One Direction singer. Despite Payne’s unexpected death, the show will go on as planned, showcasing his insights and advice to contestants as they compete for the chance to be crowned the winner. Recording for the series was completed in July 2024, four months before Payne’s tragic death.
